Information and Data Management Officer – NOA

About the role

The Information and Data Management Officer will lead information management, data coordination, analysis, visualization and reporting for Bundibugyo Virus Disease (BVD) readiness and response across a high‑risk corridor in South Sudan. The role ensures that accurate, timely, decision‑focused information is available to WHO, the Ministry of Health, county health departments and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data management for the assigned operational corridor and develop a workplan aligned with national and county BVD plans.
• Establish and maintain data flows, reporting schedules, and clear roles from community level through national coordination structures.
• Coordinate collection, consolidation, cleaning, validation, analysis and secure storage of BVD readiness and response data.
• Maintain information flows between county, state and national incident management structures.
• Support other ongoing public health emergencies as required.

Required profile

• Experience in information management and data coordination for public health emergencies.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the WHO EPR Team Lead/Incident Manager.
• Collaboration skills with county coordinators, field epidemiologists, IPC/WASH officers, RCCE officers, laboratory teams and logistics staff.
