Health & Nutrition Coordinator

About the role

The Health & Nutrition Coordinator will provide strategic, technical and operational leadership for lifesaving health and nutrition interventions in Maban. The role ensures high‑quality program delivery, compliance with humanitarian and donor standards, and effective coordination with local health authorities and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of integrated health and nutrition activities.
• Oversee emergency lifesaving services including Mobile Medical Units, hot meals, PHCC/PHCU support, Stabilization Centers, OTP/TSFP services.
• Provide technical guidance on primary health care, CMAM, IMCI, MNCH and referral systems.
• Ensure adherence to Sphere standards, WHO/UNICEF protocols and national treatment guidelines.
• Support capacity building, mentoring and supervision of field teams.
• Assist the Project Manager with budget oversight, expenditure tracking and variance reporting.
• Coordinate procurement and supply chain to guarantee uninterrupted availability of medicines and nutrition supplies.
• Collect, validate and report programme data and indicators to donors and partners.
• Serve as focal point for health and nutrition coordination with County Health Departments, Nutrition and Health Clusters, UN agencies and local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Medicine, Nursing or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in humanitarian health and nutrition coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex programmes, budgets and multi‑partner environments.
