Driver (G2) – WHO Vehicle Operations

About the role

The WHO Country Office in South Sudan is seeking a qualified Driver (G2) to operate its official vehicle. The role supports the Operations team by providing safe and reliable transportation for staff, handling deliveries, and managing mail and document collection.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the WHO official vehicle to transport authorized personnel, including airport pickups and drop‑offs.
• Handle delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items.
• Meet personnel at the airport and assist with immigration and customs formalities as needed.
• Maintain vehicle documentation such as insurance, logs, first‑aid kit and spare parts.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, minor repairs, oil changes, tyre checks and ensure the vehicle is clean and mission‑ready.
• Log official trips, mileage, fuel consumption and complete monthly vehicle data forms.
• Follow procedures in case of accidents and report accordingly.
• Provide additional support to other areas as directed by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for G2 category with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and follow WHO safety and traffic regulations.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail for record‑keeping.
• Physical ability to perform minor vehicle repairs and handle loading tasks.
