Dean of Academic Affairs

About the role

The Dean of Academic Affairs is a full‑time, on‑site senior leader responsible for shaping the academic vision, quality and integrity of all programmes at FutureCraft Training Institute in Juba. The role oversees academic departments, curriculum planning and ensures that teaching and assessment meet competency‑based TVET standards and industry expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor academic staff across all departments.
• Lead curriculum development, review and alignment with industry standards.
• Coordinate accreditation, compliance and quality‑assurance activities.
• Monitor enrollment trends, learner progression and implement data‑driven improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with student support teams to enhance learner experience and outcomes.
• Work with senior leadership and industry partners to create new programmes and refine existing offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accreditation and quality‑assurance within technical, vocational or higher education.
• Strong background in curriculum design and competency‑based training.
• Extensive experience in academic administration, policy development and faculty oversight.
• Experience managing enrollment, learner progression and data‑informed decision‑making.
• Advanced degree in Education, Educational Leadership, TVET Management or related field; doctoral degree is an advantage.
• Effective leadership, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner‑centred practices and the TVET mission.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technologies.
