Compensation & Benefits Manager – South Sudan

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dynamic Compensation & Benefits (P&C) Manager to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of reward programs for its South Sudan country program. This role ensures competitive, equitable compensation, accurate HR data, and full compliance with local labour law, IRC policy, and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead periodic pay and benefits reviews; design and maintain compensation structures, salary scales, and benefits schemes.
• Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration, supervising Senior P&C Officer and P&C Officer.
• Manage HRMIS and workforce data systems, ensuring data integrity, timely updates, and user capacity building across Juba and field offices.
• Ensure P&C compliance with South Sudan labour law, IRC global HR policy, and donor requirements; maintain audit‑ready contracts, personnel files, and payroll documentation.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date record‑management system aligned with IRC audit checklists.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on diversity, global matrix, and HR strategy for IRC South Sudan.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and managing compensation and benefits programs in complex, multi‑site environments.
• Strong knowledge of South Sudan labour legislation and donor compliance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise HR staff and build capacity in HR information systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
