Communications Analyst

About the role

The Communications Analyst will be based in the UNFPA Country Office in Juba and will support the Partnerships, Communications and Resource Mobilization team. Reporting to the Advocacy & Communications Specialist, the role contributes to the delivery of programme targets related to communications and partnership development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and disseminate internal and external advocacy and communication materials that showcase UNFPA’s work.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with government officials, development partners, civil society organisations, media outlets and UN system entities.
• Provide the Representative with regular media reports, updates and analysis of trends on ICPD‑related issues in South Sudan.
• Monitor and analyse media content to advise senior staff on communication strategies.
• Support the preparation of briefing notes, press releases, newsletters and other communication products.

Required profile

• Experience working closely with programme staff, UN agencies, government counterparts and development partners.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to produce timely media updates and analytical reports.
• Strong understanding of the South Sudan context and the ICPD agenda.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
