Clinical Instructor – Healthcare Education

About the role

The Hospital is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Instructor to support its academic and clinical training programmes. Based in Juba, you will deliver lectures, small‑group sessions and practical demonstrations that align with the hospital’s curriculum and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver classroom and skills‑lab teaching for diverse adult learners.
• Supervise learners during clinical rotations and skills‑lab activities, providing formative feedback.
• Develop, update and maintain teaching materials, lesson plans and assessment tools.
• Contribute to examinations, grading and accurate record‑keeping of learner performance.
• Participate in academic meetings, curriculum development and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.

Required profile

• Strong instructional and facilitation abilities, including lesson planning and classroom management.
• Experience in clinical or healthcare education with a focus on practical skill supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised, able to manage multiple classes, assessments and administrative tasks.
• Team‑oriented with proven collaboration with faculty, clinicians and staff.
• Relevant academic degree in Medicine, Nursing or a related health field; advanced training in education is a plus.
• Commitment to ethical practice, learner‑centred education and continuous professional development.
