Cash Transfer Officer – EFASS Project (South Sudan)

About the role

Save the Children International is recruiting a Cash Transfer Officer for the Education For All in South Sudan (EFASS) project, based in Torit with responsibilities extending to Magwi. The role supports the delivery of education‑linked conditional cash transfers to vulnerable children and households, contributing to improved access to quality, inclusive education.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, registration, verification and distribution of conditional cash transfers under the EFASS project.
• Coordinate with education teams, MEAL, community mobilisers, schools, PTAs, SMCs, disability inclusion facilitators and local authorities to ensure transparent and accountable cash delivery.
• Monitor beneficiary attendance, conduct post‑distribution follow‑up and document activities.
• Assist with activity budget tracking, expenditure documentation and field‑level compliance.
• Supervise the Accountability Assistant and Community Mobiliser reporting to the Cash Transfer Coordinator.

Required profile

• South Sudan national with at least Grade 4 education.
• Experience in cash‑based assistance, humanitarian programming or education projects.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding standards (Level 3 contact with children).
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and maintain accurate records.

Required skills

• Cash transfer processes (registration, verification, distribution, monitoring).
• Data collection and reporting.
• Budget tracking and documentation.
