Adolescent Empowerment Curriculum Review Consultant

About the role

The Strømme Foundation is seeking an experienced curriculum development consultant to review, revise, and contextualize the Bonga adolescent empowerment curriculum for South Sudan. The role focuses on strengthening life‑skill learning, gender responsiveness, and inclusion for vulnerable out‑of‑school youth.

Key responsibilities

• Review the existing Bonga curriculum and supporting materials.
• Adapt content to reflect the realities, opportunities, and challenges faced by adolescents in South Sudan.
• Enhance the dialogue‑based, learner‑centered methodology.
• Integrate age‑appropriate modules on health, safety, relationships, leadership, financial literacy, and civic participation.
• Ensure gender responsiveness, disability inclusion, safeguarding, and cultural relevance.
• Develop differentiated curriculum packages for ages 13‑15 and 16‑21 while maintaining a common life‑skill foundation.
• Produce practical tools for implementation, monitoring, and supervision.

Required profile

• Proven experience in adolescent curriculum development or related education projects.
• Familiarity with gender‑responsive and inclusive learning approaches.
• Understanding of South Sudan’s socio‑cultural context and national education policies.
• Strong analytical and writing skills to produce clear, actionable curriculum materials.
