WASH/Health Coordinator

About the role

The WASH/Health Coordinator will lead the implementation of the RISE project in Tambura, South Sudan, ensuring that all project deliverables are met and that vulnerable communities receive essential water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH) and health services.

Key responsibilities

• Train community hygiene promoters and conduct awareness campaigns.
• Organise focus group discussions to gather feedback for project design and NFI distribution.
• Provide strategic leadership, prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, and ensure compliance with donor and World Vision policies.
• Manage the health budget, approve expenses, and oversee procurement in coordination with the procurement team.
• Distribute soap, hand‑washing facilities and other WASH non‑food items to target beneficiaries.
• Develop procurement plans, budget forecasts and track expenditures at the county level.
• Guide and appraise project staff, ensure performance agreements are signed, and support capacity‑building initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health or a related paramedical field.
• Understanding of the South Sudan context and experience working in humanitarian or development settings.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, procurement processes and project reporting.
