WASH Coordinator

About the role

The Integrated WASH Programme in Abyei, South Sudan, is seeking a WASH Coordinator to lead water, sanitation and hygiene interventions in a context of severe water scarcity, recurrent cholera outbreaks and high rates of diarrheal disease. The role will support the delivery of essential WASH services to vulnerable populations, including returnees and refugees, and contribute to reducing health risks associated with poor water and sanitation. South Sudan faces widespread WASH‑related neglected tropical diseases and a high burden of lower respiratory and diarrheal infections, making the coordination of safe water supply, sanitation facilities and hygiene promotion critical for public health.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the Integrated WASH Programme activities in Abyei.

Required profile

• Willingness to undergo a mandatory police check due to contact with children and access to personal data about children.
