TVET Curriculum Development Specialist

About the role

The TVET Curriculum Development Specialist will lead the design, adaptation and accreditation of competency‑based training (CBT) curricula for the ARISE‑GREEN project in South Sudan. Based in Juba, the role ensures that all agricultural training pathways align with the National Qualifications Framework and embed green, climate‑smart and gender‑transformative approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt CBT curricula, modules and instructional packages for formal, non‑formal and informal TVET pathways.
• Ensure curricula meet South Sudan NQF Levels 1‑5 and are accredited by relevant authorities.
• Integrate green technologies, climate‑smart agriculture, digital marketing and gender‑responsive content into learning materials.
• Coordinate with Agri‑TVET Coordinators, partner technical focal points, TVET centre directors and national ministries to institutionalise the new curricula.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and monitor implementation quality across seven counties.

Required profile

• Proven experience in TVET curriculum development and competency‑based training design.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural education, green technologies and climate‑smart practices.
• Familiarity with South Sudan’s National Qualifications Framework and accreditation processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government ministries, NGOs and multi‑stakeholder consortia.
• Excellent communication skills in English; experience in a humanitarian or development context is an advantage.
