TVET Curriculum Development Specialist – ARISE Programme

About the role

The TVET Curriculum Development Specialist will lead the design, adaptation and accreditation of competency‑based training (CBT) curricula for the ARISE‑GREEN project in South Sudan. Based in Juba, the specialist will ensure that all training pathways align with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF Levels 1‑5) and embed green, climate‑smart and gender‑transformative approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and revise CBT curricula, modules and instructional packages for formal, non‑formal and informal agricultural training.
• Coordinate accreditation processes with national line ministries and ensure compliance with NQF standards.
• Integrate green technologies, climate‑smart practices, digital marketing and gender‑responsive content into curricula.
• Collaborate with field‑based Agri‑TVET coordinators, partner technical teams and institutional stakeholders.
• Support the upgrading of three TVET institutions into Centres of Excellence.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Agricultural Sciences, Curriculum Development or related field.
• Experience in designing competency‑based curricula for TVET, preferably in agriculture.
• Familiarity with national qualification frameworks and accreditation procedures.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and engage with vulnerable youth groups.

Required skills
