Supply Chain Manager – Procurement & Logistics

About the role

World Vision is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement and logistics operations for its humanitarian programmes. The role combines strategic oversight of purchasing processes with hands‑on management of warehousing and distribution in Juba and regional offices.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all procurement transactions comply with World Vision financial guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Supervise requisition reviews, supplier selection, bid evaluation and award of contracts to achieve value for money.
• Review and negotiate contract terms to protect World Vision’s interests and maintain transparency.
• Provide policy and technical advice on procurement and logistics to project teams.
• Vet service providers through blocked‑party screening and due‑diligence processes.
• Oversee receipt, storage, transport and delivery of cargo at the primary warehouse in Juba and transit warehouses.
• Implement and scale the new Item Tracking System (ITS) for improved logistics management.
• Maintain accurate stock reports and ensure timely distribution to field locations.
• Liaise with finance, project managers and external agencies to coordinate procurement, invoicing and transportation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and logistics management, preferably in an NGO or humanitarian context.
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, contract negotiation and supplier vetting procedures.
• Ability to supervise teams, manage warehouses and coordinate multi‑stakeholder logistics operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Item Tracking System (ITS) or similar logistics management tools.
