Project Officer – Peacebuilding

About the role

World Vision is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to lead peacebuilding initiatives in South Sudan. You will work closely with local leaders, youth groups, and women’s associations to foster inclusive participation and strengthen community resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement peacebuilding activities such as dialogues, trainings, and community engagement sessions.
• Facilitate workshops on conflict sensitivity, mediation, and reconciliation.
• Integrate peacebuilding approaches into broader development and humanitarian programmes.
• Prepare work plans, procurement plans, and monitor project activities, budgets, and reporting.
• Support natural‑resource management using a landscape approach and improve food‑utilisation practices.
• Ensure gender‑sensitive and disability‑inclusive beneficiary selection.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with implementing partners, staff, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Local applicant with a strong commitment to humanitarian values and Christian faith‑based principles.
• Experience in community‑based conflict resolution, peace promotion, or related fields.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
