Project Assistant – Juba

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is seeking a Project Assistant to support the implementation of its South Sudan component of the EU Operational Support to the IGAD Platform. Based in Juba, the role provides essential administrative, operational and programme support to ensure timely delivery of project outputs in line with UN-Habitat and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project schedules, meetings, and field missions in Juba.
• Assist with financial monitoring, procurement processes and documentation.
• Prepare and consolidate regular reports for UN-Habitat and donors.
• Support stakeholder engagement and partnership coordination activities.
• Maintain project files, databases and ensure compliance with organisational procedures.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in project administration or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, humanitarian environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
