Mechanical Technician – Beverage Manufacturing (Juba)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join a leading beverage manufacturing plant in Juba. The role involves maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, inspect and repair production and processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain and repair filling, packaging, labeling and bottling machinery.
• Service compressors, pumps, conveyors, motors and industrial utility systems.
• Support maintenance of purified water and carbonated beverage production equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, assist with equipment installation and commissioning.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, tools and spare‑parts inventories.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on industrial maintenance experience, preferably in beverage, water bottling, food‑processing or similar manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and breakdown‑maintenance skills.
• Ability to work shifts, respond to urgent equipment failures and work under pressure.
• Safety‑conscious, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a maintenance team.
