International Consultant – Gavi 6.0 Country Application Development

About the role

The International Consultant will support South Sudan's Expanded Programme on Immunization in preparing, validating and submitting the Gavi 6.0 Country Holistic Application. Working closely with the Ministry of Health, WHO Country Office, UNICEF and other key partners, the consultant will lead the end‑to‑end process from situational analysis to final hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inception meeting, review Gavi 6.0 documents and produce a comprehensive situational analysis report.
• Lead stakeholder consultations, technical working groups and coordination sessions to develop the 2026‑2030 multi‑year immunization programme plan.
• Develop costing, financing framework and sustainability roadmap, integrating equity strategies for zero‑dose and underserved populations.
• Draft all sections of the Gavi 6.0 Country Application using official templates and create a results framework aligned with Gavi performance indicators.
• Support validation, submission and final hand‑over of the application to the responsible offices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in immunization programme planning, costing and financing.
• Familiarity with Gavi application processes and performance frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with Ministry of Health, WHO, UNICEF and other partners in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
