Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist

About the role

NTU International seeks a highly qualified specialist to embed gender equality and social inclusion throughout the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The role will ensure inclusive participation, gender‑responsive implementation and equitable access to opportunities generated by the cooperation.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate gender equality and social inclusion considerations across all programme activities.
• Coordinate with African and EU partners to embed gender considerations into policy dialogue and institutional partnerships.
• Develop and monitor gender‑responsive indicators and sex‑disaggregated data.
• Provide training and capacity‑building on inclusive practices for stakeholders.
• Support the design of gender‑responsive communication and outreach materials.
• Promote equitable access to opportunities within the Africa‑EU space ecosystem.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, development studies or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in gender equality, social inclusion or inclusive development in international cooperation.
• At least 4 years of experience designing and applying gender‑responsive approaches in donor‑funded programmes.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Familiarity with EU external‑action gender policy and experience working in Africa are advantageous.
