Control Room Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Control Room Operator to join our team at the Paloch Power Plant. The role ensures safe and efficient plant operation, supporting maintenance activities and rapid response to any deviations or blackouts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance to keep operating parameters within defined limits and follow all standard procedures.
• Isolate equipment for maintenance using lockout‑tagout and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) practices.
• Restore plant power quickly after a blackout and report any abnormal conditions for corrective action.
• Inspect completed maintenance work to verify compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Track the condition of tools, parts, and consumables used by the maintenance crew.
• Develop and enforce Wärtsilä Operation & Maintenance (WOM) policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and availability of plant equipment.
• Lead and motivate a team of maintenance personnel, approve timesheets, and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong leadership attitude with the ability to build and motivate a maintenance team.
• Proactive mindset for identifying and solving operational issues.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Experience with lockout‑tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Familiarity with Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documentation.
• Knowledge of plant operating parameters and blackout recovery processes.
