Communications and Event Coordination Expert

About the role

The International Trade Centre is seeking a Communications and Event Coordination Expert on a 7‑month consultancy to support the South Sudan GRACE project. Working remotely from Juba, the consultant will manage media outputs, social‑media activity and event‑related communications for the initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and disseminate seven press releases or news articles each month, including photos or video content.
• Create and publish seven social‑media posts per month aligned with project messaging.
• Produce seven media‑monitoring reports and seven consolidated logistics and support reports on a monthly basis (September 2026 – March 2027).
• Coordinate event‑related communications and support activities for the GRACE project in South Sudan.
• Liaise with media outlets, partners and stakeholders to ensure timely coverage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, public‑relations or event coordination, preferably in international development contexts.
• Ability to work independently from a home‑based setting in Juba, South Sudan.
• Strong writing and editing skills for press releases, news articles and social‑media content.
• Familiarity with media‑monitoring and reporting processes.
