Camp Management Support - Infrastructure Services (Roster)

About the role

The Consultant will provide technical advisory, project management, and coordination support for the planning, implementation, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness of humanitarian, emergency response, public health, and other operational support projects. The role works under the guidance of a designated project lead and collaborates with suppliers, contractors, implementing partners, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to assess, improve, and maintain operational readiness of facilities, infrastructure and operational systems.
• Conduct engineering and technical assessments, develop action plans, and ensure compliance with client, UN, donor and national standards.
• Supervise contractors, monitor site preparation, installation sequencing, quality control, safety compliance and progress against workplans.
• Review technical documentation such as engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and contractor submissions.
• Support QA/QC, contractor performance management, site inspections, acceptance testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, public works, facilities management, camp coordination or related discipline.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of relevant professional experience (7+ years for senior roles) in engineering, infrastructure, facilities management, logistics, camp management or humanitarian response.
• Experience supervising small to medium‑scale engineering or construction projects and coordinating with clients, contractors, donors and implementing partners.
