Agri-TVET Officer – Torit & Magwi Counties

About the role

The Agri-TVET Officer will support the ARISE‑GREEN project by delivering hands‑on agricultural training at public TVET centres in Torit and Magwi counties, South Sudan. Working directly with instructors and students, the officer ensures that competency‑based training runs smoothly and aligns with the project’s green value‑chain objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily on‑site operational support to target TVET centres and Centres of Excellence.
• Monitor delivery of practical Competency‑Based Training (CBT) modules and ensure instructors have required materials and utilities.
• Assist in organizing capacity‑building workshops and refresher trainings for local TVET instructors.
• Verify deployment and proper use of training equipment and resources.
• Track student attendance, progress and outcomes, maintaining accurate logs.
• Engage with community networks to promote programme uptake among vulnerable youth.
• Report regularly to the Agricultural TVET Coordinator and support administrative documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in agricultural training, technical vocational education, or related fields.
• Ability to work in field settings and travel between county sites.
• Familiarity with competency‑based training approaches.
• Comfort working with vulnerable groups, including IDPs, returnees, women, persons with disabilities and high‑risk individuals.
• Level 2 child safeguarding clearance (regular contact with children or young people).

Required skills
