Agri-TVET Officer

About the role

The Agri‑TVET Officer will support the ARISE‑GREEN programme by delivering hands‑on agricultural vocational training at county‑level TVET centres in South Sudan. Working directly with public TVET institutions, the officer ensures that competency‑based modules are implemented effectively for vulnerable youth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily on‑site operational support to TVET centres and Centres of Excellence, ensuring training schedules run smoothly.
• Monitor delivery of practical CBT modules, verify that instructors have required materials, logs and utilities.
• Organise and facilitate capacity‑building workshops and refresher trainings for local TVET instructors.
• Inspect and maintain agricultural demonstration plots, workshops and equipment to meet project safety and quality standards.
• Track student attendance, progress and manage inventory of specialised technical tools.
• Report regularly to the Agri‑TVET Coordinator and liaise with community networks to promote programme uptake.

Required profile

• Experience working in agricultural training, vocational education or related field.
• Ability to work in remote county settings and engage with diverse community groups.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for monitoring and reporting.

Required skills

• Competency‑Based Training (CBT) implementation.
• Agricultural equipment operation and maintenance.
• Inventory management of technical tools.
