Agri-TVET Officer

About the role

The Agri-TVET Officer will support the ARISE‑GREEN project at the county level, providing hands‑on implementation and day‑to‑day administration for agricultural technical and vocational training. Working directly with public TVET centres and community‑based training sites, the officer ensures that practical, market‑led training reaches vulnerable youth in Kapoeta County.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily on‑site operational support to public TVET centres and Centres of Excellence, ensuring smooth training routines.
• Monitor the delivery of Competency‑Based Training (CBT) modules and verify that instructors have required materials, logs and utilities.
• Organise and assist capacity‑building workshops and refresher sessions for local TVET instructors.
• Inspect and maintain training facilities, workshops and agricultural demonstration plots in line with project standards.
• Track student attendance and progress, and manage the inventory of specialised technical tools, solar assets and agricultural equipment.
• Engage with local community networks to facilitate student participation and equipment deployment.

Required profile

• Willingness and ability to work in field settings and travel within Kapoeta County.
• Eligibility for Child Safeguarding Level 2, as the role involves regular contact with children and young people.
• Experience or familiarity with agricultural training programmes and community‑based education.

Required skills
