Agri-TVET Officer – Field Implementation (2 positions)

About the role

The Agri-TVET Officer will support the ARISE‑GREEN project, a 48‑month EU‑funded initiative that reforms agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in South Sudan. Based in Torit and Magwi counties, the officer provides on‑the‑ground implementation, monitoring and administrative support to public TVET centres and community‑based training sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily on‑site operational support to target TVET centres to ensure smooth delivery of practical training.
• Monitor the delivery of Competency‑Based Training (CBT) modules, ensuring instructors have required materials, logs and utilities.
• Assist in organising capacity‑building workshops and refresher trainings for local TVET instructors.
• Track student attendance, progress and verify the deployment and proper use of agricultural equipment.
• Maintain accurate field reports, data collection and liaison with the Agric TVET Coordinator.
• Engage local community networks and support the implementation of child safeguarding procedures (Level 2).

Required profile

• Experience working in agricultural training, TVET or community development, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with South Sudan’s county‑level structures and ability to work in remote settings.
• Understanding of child safeguarding requirements and ability to apply Level 2 protocols.

Required skills

• Competency‑Based Training (CBT) implementation.
• Agricultural equipment handling and verification.
• Data collection and basic reporting tools.
