About the role
The Acquisition Data Analyst (Project Manager) will support the Acquisition Management Unit of UNMISS by improving data quality, reporting and decision‑making across the Supply Chain Planning Tool (SCPT) and related systems. The role combines data analysis, KPI design and project management to enhance procurement efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse and cleanse SCPT data, focusing on blocked or price‑less PIDs, demand forecasting errors, stock verification and historical consumption.
- Design, implement and report on end‑to‑end acquisition KPIs, acting as the primary Mission contact for KPI management.
- Develop automated reports that audit data quality between SCPT, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and the approved BPC budget.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, collaborating with technical units to refine data‑entry processes and ensure compliance.
- Create and maintain automated tracking of Shopping Carts and approved Purchase Orders.
- Extract, analyse and visualise data to produce operational, analytical and strategic reporting solutions.
- Provide senior management with risk assessments, project status updates and recommendations based on root‑cause analysis.
- Partner with HQ focal points to address SCPT software issues and drive system enhancements.
Required profile
- Advanced university degree (Master’s) in supply chain, logistics, business administration, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum eight years of progressive experience in acquisition planning, logistics, data analysis or project management.
- Experience with United Nations procurement processes is desirable.
- Fluency in English (French optional) as required by UN Secretariat.
Required skills
- Power BI (or Qlik) for data visualisation.
- Advanced Excel and Power Query.
- SAP or similar ERP systems (ECC, SRM, BPC, SCPT).
- Data cleansing and statistical forecasting techniques.
- Project management and KPI reporting.
