Trainee Technician – Mechanical/Electrical

About the role

Wärtsilä Energy is seeking a motivated Trainee Technician to join our maintenance team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in both mechanical and electrical environments, supporting our mission to accelerate the global energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out tasks assigned by the supervisor and assist the maintenance team as needed.
• Learn to use and maintain workshop and field tools while following safety best practices.
• Prepare and submit part requisitions and understand inventory management procedures.
• Adhere to all safety standards, wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
• Follow company work procedures, regulations, policies, and instructions.
• Prepare weekly work and learning reports to track progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a good academic record.
• South Sudan national, having completed final exams within the last two years.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• High integrity, ownership, and self‑motivation.
