Grants Management Officer

About the role

The Grants Management Officer will support the effective management of DRC’s grant portfolio in Juba, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and facilitating smooth coordination between programme, finance, HR, and supply‑chain teams. Reporting to the Head of Programme, the role contributes to high‑quality programme implementation through proactive grant oversight and timely donor deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full grant cycle from proposal development to close‑out, ensuring all documentation is complete and archived.
• Coordinate the preparation, review and timely submission of donor reports, maintaining quality and compliance.
• Maintain grant tracking tools and monitoring systems to follow up on deliverables, deadlines and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with MEAL teams to align contractual indicators and monitoring frameworks with programme implementation.
• Support proposal development by compiling inputs, reviewing narratives and meeting submission standards.
• Provide guidance and capacity‑building to staff on donor compliance and grants management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in grants management, donor reporting or proposal development within a humanitarian or development organization.
• Experience working with UN donors such as OCHA, UNICEF and other humanitarian funding mechanisms.
• Strong report‑writing, editing and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
