Driver – Field Operations Support

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a reliable Driver to support its South Sudan component. The role involves providing safe, timely, and efficient transportation for staff, consultants, and project activities across Juba and surrounding field locations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate UN‑Habitat vehicles safely in accordance with UN vehicle‑use, security and fleet‑management policies.
• Transport staff, consultants and equipment to official duties, field missions, stakeholder meetings and programme activities.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained, fueled and kept clean, reporting any issues promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods and materials as required.
• Maintain accurate travel logs and comply with administrative requirements.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Experience driving in challenging environments and familiarity with local road conditions.
• Ability to follow UN safety, security and administrative procedures.
• Good physical fitness and ability to handle cargo handling tasks.
