About the role
The Business Support Associate will provide essential HR and administrative assistance to the Management Services unit in Malakal, supporting the delivery of WFP’s humanitarian programmes in the Greater Upper Nile region.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update personnel records and HR databases.
- Assist with recruitment processes, including posting vacancies, scheduling interviews and preparing onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate staff training, travel arrangements and logistics for missions.
- Provide clerical support for payroll, contracts and benefits administration.
- Prepare routine reports, correspondence and presentations for the HR team.
- Ensure compliance with WFP and UN HR policies and local regulations.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in HR or administrative support, preferably in an international or humanitarian setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a challenging, conflict‑affected environment.
- Good command of English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
